Dr. Anneli Hovmand

I am a physician-scientist by training and have spent close to 25 years bringing medicines from early research through to patients in more than 30 countries.

Before joining Exxopharm in 2016 I led global development at a top-10 pharmaceutical company, where I was responsible for a portfolio spanning metabolic, cardiovascular and rare disease programmes.

As CEO my focus is simple: build an organisation that can sustain scientific risk over decades. Our foundation ownership lets us fund research that would never survive a quarterly earnings cycle.

I chair our access committee, which sets tiered pricing for low- and middle-income markets, and I remain personally involved in the design of our late-stage trials.
