Elena Costa

I am responsible for how our medicines reach patients: pricing, reimbursement, distribution partners and the commercial teams in each of our markets.

My background is in health economics, and I spent the early part of my career on the payer side, which taught me how health systems actually make funding decisions.

At Exxopharm I introduced our tiered pricing framework, under which the price of a therapy is indexed to national income rather than set globally.

I work closely with our access committee on supply agreements with humanitarian organisations and public tender programmes in low-income markets.
